The membership fee you pay will vary. See below for the different membership levels. You will pay an additional $10 ($6 if you are an Early Career member) for being a member of the Montgomery/Prince George's County Chapter.
- - $90/year - This class of membership is available to individuals currently working in government with three or more years of experience. This class is also available to individuals with similar experience who currently work for colleges/universities and not for profit organizations.
- - $150/year - This class of membership is available to individuals currently working for private companies, corporations, partnerships and sole proprietors.
- - $45/year - This class of membership is available to individuals with less than three years of experience.
- - $30/year - This class of membership is available to full-time college/university students that are not gainfully employed.

The chapter holds monthly meetings from September through May. Meetings usually occur on the third Wednesday of each month. Our reception starts at 6:00 p.m., and the dinner meeting begins at 6:30pm.
The dinner meetings take place at the Hilton Hotel, located at 1750 Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD. The hotel is across from the Congressional Shopping Center, and also across the street from the Twinbrook Metro Station on the Red Line. Parking is complimentary in the hotel’s parking garage. For specific directions or questions about the hotel, you can contact the Hilton Hotel at 301-468-1100.
It costs $30 for both members and non-members to attend the monthly dinner meetings.

To take any of the CGFM examinations, you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and completion of at least 24 semester credit hours (or 36 quarter credit hours) of study composed of courses in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Auditing, Budgeting Economics, Electronic Data Processing, Finance, Information Resources Management, Public Administration, Other Financial Management or Related Topics.
